Beyond Limits With Damien
From Skills to Passion
Understand This!
Before you receive your solutions, what you need to understand is that I'm not here to destroy your dreams! I would call myself your biggest supporter. A key factor in understanding if this path is right for you is looking at your personal growth. Because progress in your dream can take some time, but personal growth immediately happens. So, if you haven't recognized personal growth while pursuing your passion, then take my advice and use your skills for your benefit and form a new passion over time.
3 Rapid Solutions
Examine Your Social Life
What are the tasks that friends or family often ask you to do? For example, you've been the planner of the friend group. When it comes to vacations, activities, or parties, you're always the person planning it. This might suggest you are someone who can organize and take control and isn't scared of responsibility. Or let's say you're always the person people talk to when they need advice. That could suggest that you're a good listener and somebody who can objectively look at a problem. So start looking at your interactions with other people and take something from it.
Lose Track of Time
Think about the activities where you completely lose track of time. Where you're so concentrated that when you look at the clock, you're surprised that three hours have passed. From now on, ask yourself, 'Why did I lose track of time?' What about this kept me so engaged? Because normally when we're not good at something and it's not going our way, we want it to end quickly, so we're constantly checking the time. Therefore, examining the activities that make you lose track of time can help you identify your skill set.
Ask People
This sounds so easy, but no one wants to really do it. Ask the people around you, people who talk to you on a daily basis. It doesn't matter if those are work colleagues or friends. Just be straightforward and ask them what you're good at. You will be surprised by the answers because most of the time, those are skills you never thought about. Trust me, I've done it, and it helped me a lot.
